Why we love it

  • The New York Times praises it for "displaying the dinosaurs of the digital age"
  • 4.5 stars on Yelp and TripAdvisor
  • Home to more than 1,100 historic artifacts, like some of the first computers from the 1940s

The docent tour---Winnie. She explained a lot in the viewpoint of a computer user, not a computer teckie

The Babbage engine and the early days of computing.

The Babbage engine presentation ran just a little too long. 1/2 hour with time after for questions would have been better. Need to expand the digital music and art sections. These are both kinda weak, but are significant parts of the current entertainment landscape. Also, the Internet display really stops after the early days of the web and needs updating.

Google Car, rich collection of the actual computers, parts, instruments, records, all nicely presented.

Generally boring, really surprised they didn't have an intellivision system in the gaming section.
