Smuin Ballet is returning to the South Bay with its winter program, which features five entertaining ballets by world-renowned choreographers. Tickets are up to 50% off in Mountain View and Carmel, starting at $27, regularly $52-$55.

See the show at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday-Saturday, Feb. 20-24, from the following seating sections:

• Silver … $27, reg. $52
• Gold … $32, reg. $62
• Platinum … $35, reg. $68

See the show at the Sunset Center in Carmel on Friday-Saturday, March 8-9, from the following seating sections:

• Rear Side Orchestra (Price Level 2) … $27.50, reg. $55
• Front Balcony/Orchestra (Price Level 1) … $34, reg. $68

The program includes "Cold Virtues" by Adam Hougland, said to have "a lot to offer the dance world" (Dance Magazine); Michael Smuin's romantic "Starshadows"; "Homeless," performed to the African rhythms of Paul Simon's "Graceland" album; and "No Viviré," featuring sounds of the Gipsy Kings. Lastly, watch the return of "Oh, Inverted World" with music by The Shins.
