The food, wine. and delightful other guests.

We really enjoyed working with chef Philippe. He provided excellent direction for our food preparation. And the Inn itself is beautiful.

It was a small group of nice people taking the class.

The hostess was not very friendly, almost rude. We would like to have all sat together - one table, for dinner after we collaborated on the meal.

The class felt as much like a country house party with friends as a cooking lesson. I would highly recommend attending one of these classes. We started out in the living room getting to know each other. We were given a warm welcome with a talk about French customs from Nancy, our hostess and the owner of L'Auberge of Seattle. When we assembled in the kitchen, we were all given recipes for what was going to be prepared in that class and then we were partnered up to fix one recipe. Under the direction and help of Chef Jim Bradley, we not only fixed our own dishes, but could observe and sometimes particpate in what other people were fixing too. The tables in the dining room were beautifully set creating a wonderful ambiance for a very ejoyable meal.

I went to two classes in three days, the Classical French and the Brunch classes. I went to the first class with a friend and the other one I attended by myself. What was nice was that you felt part of the group whether you were by yourself or with someone else. One of the gals was staying in the "Chef's Quarters" so we got to see that and it looked great and even had a kitchen in it.

Chef Jim, who lead the class was excellent!

The chef.

Email said, "you may bring wine if you want." It was now clear, no wine would be served UNLESS you brought wine. There was little to no instruction in this class, shouldn't be categorized as a cooking class. The kitchen is not commercial with not enough work space.
