Begin with a mini tour of the grounds, which are surrounded by lush bamboo, evergreens and wisteria, and decorated with candles and fountains. Head to the dressing room first to start with a hot shower and then move on to:

• Any 60-minute customized massage, with options like shiatsu, lomilomi, lymphatic, deep tissue and more (actual massage time is 55 minutes; $90 value)

• 60 minutes to spend between the outdoor hot tub soak, voted "Best Place to Take a Hot Tub Under the Sky" in 2009 by The Bohemian, and the private sauna; pick the dry or wet sauna, made from natural red cedar ($25 value)
