The Deal

"Of all California’s wine regions, Sonoma may be the easiest to fall in love with," says Sunset Magazine. For $69 per person, Travelzoo subscribers can take a six-hour Sonoma wine country tour in an eight-passenger limousine stocked with two bottles of sparkling wine. This experience with Social Limousine includes visits to three wineries and tastings at each stop, a package worth $151.

Depart from the Ferry Building and sip on a glass of bubbly as you traverse the Golden Gate into Sonoma. The tour visits three Boisset Family Estates properties before returning to the city:

• Buena Vista Winery, housed in an original stone winery that's now a California Historic Landmark

• DeLoach Vineyards on a 20-acre farm in the Russian River Valley with a picnic area for lunch (not included with deal); sample limited-release vineyard-designated wines 

• JCB by Jean-Charles Boisset Tasting Room on the Healdsburg Square; taste a collection of limited, numbered-edition JCB wines

All three properties won gold medals at this year's San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, including JCB's 2010 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, DeLoach's 2010 Russian River Valley Zinfandel and Buena Vista's 2009 Carneros Pinot Noir.

Or for $425, rent the entire limo and make it a private tour for up to eight people, regularly up to $1204. The private tour also includes the five tastings for each person at the above three wineries.

Travelzoo Tip: You can also customize the tour to visit other wineries in the Sonoma area within the allotted six-hour time frame, though tasting fees at other wineries are not included in the cost of this deal.
