Deemed a "temple of nature" by naturalist John Muir, Yosemite National Park -- a World Heritage Site -- attracts outdoor lovers year-round with its waterfalls, granite peaks and towering forests. This exclusive, three-night $260 getaway offers visitors a unique experience in an updated version of a yurt this spring. Just five miles from the park's west gate entrance, this property offers a savings of more than 35% on regular prices.

Why we love it

  • Yurts combine the fun of camping with conveniences like a private bathroom, satellite TV and full kitchen with a stove top, microwave and refrigerator. The massive canvas dwellings sleep up to four. Those looking to grill dinner can step outside to barbecue on the deck. After roasting some marshmallows, get cozy in the queen-size bed or the sleeper sofa.
  • Upgrade to a meadow yurt for three nights for $278 or a yurt set along the scenic Tuolumne River for $348. Each River Yurt has a queen-size bed with a lofted twin bed and a sleeper sofa.
  • Every kind of outdoor enthusiast will find something to love about this area. The park is a playground for hikers, bikers, bird-watchers and nature photographers. There are also free walks with park rangers offered year-round for visitors to learn more about Yosemite’s geology, plant life, early inhabitants and more.
  • Yosemite is 2.5 hours from Sacramento and three hours from San Francisco.

Loved staying in the yurt. The staff was great. The yurt was very clean. Wi-fi wasn't in the room, but in the clubhouse - at least it was there. It is a large complex, but the hillside yurts were away from the hustle and bustle of the RV campground.

When they said Yosemite was 5 miles away, we thought they meant the Yosemite Valley, not just the entrance gate. In actuality it was another several miles. There is a shuttle from the RV to the Valley floor which we will take next time.

The Yurt was awesome and made us feel very comfortable. This is far better than camping, and it's so nice to have a toilet and shower to use with the feeling of camping. We very much enjoyed this first time experience.

I highly recommend this place for anyone that wants to enjoy the outdoors but with the necessary amenities. It's a 40 minute drive to Yosemite Valley, but worth the drive. It was a very pleasant stay and we can't wait to return next year!

The accommodations were as described. The front desk was helpful and friendly! Easy to get to our sightseeing from our stay---would do it again!

Staying in a Yurt was a really nice experience---all the fun of camping while getting to sleep and shower indoors!

The yurt was very clean and of the highest quality. Check in staff were extremely helpful and we enjoyed the stay so much that my kids want to go back.

Location. Cabin was clean. Had necessary items for 4 campers to prepare meals, sleep, and shower. Store and gas convenient. Yurts looked interesting. There are two Yosemite Lakes. This is near Groveland. We got lost. Great value with Travelzoo.

Sleeping arrangements best for 2 adults plus a couple of kids. Grounds could use some TLC. Lake overgrown. Need towel bars..
