The Deal

With this deal, $25 gets you a lunch or dinner for 2 (regularly $56) at this local favorite.

Empirehouse holds a 4-star rating from more than 400 Yelp reviewers -- many of whom call out the "monster" cocktails -- and the title of Best New Restaurant of 2011 by San Diego City Beat.

Kick back in the hip, bungalow-style space or on the wraparound patio and order from an "eclectic but tailored" menu (San Diego City Beat) that features gourmet street food items:

• A shared appetizer, like the red miso BBQ wings, sausage bread or mac 'n' cheese (excludes the full sausage bread loaf)

• Any two entrees, like the ahi tuna tacos, Frank steak sandwich or Empirehouse burger; according to San Diego City Beat, the restaurant gives tacos and burgers “a tasty twist"

• Any two cocktails, including specialty drinks like the Ginger Babushka (their version of the Moscow mule), Raspberry Beret with vodka, fresh raspberries and ginger beer, or Bourbon Beer Cocktail with bourbon, lemonade and pale ale
