The Fine Print

The Deal

Take the reins and explore Temecula countryside on horseback with this Local Deal for a 90-minute ride through the vineyards. For $75, this deal also includes an alfresco lunch and tastings at Wilson Creek Winery, named one of the area's best wineries by the San Diego Union-Tribune. This package is regularly $150.

Before departing the ranch, you'll learn riding basics from experienced guides. After working up an appetite on the trails, refuel at Creekside Grill, which offers seasonal, local cuisine with vineyard views. Choose from small plates, sandwiches and salads (up to $17.50) such as a chicken panini with pesto or a bibb salad with local strawberries and Point Reyes blue cheese.

Wrap up the day with five tastings at one of the winery's four wine bars, choosing from any wines on the menu, including its well-known almond champagne.
