The Deal

Hop from vineyard to vineyard on Brewen's Empire Trolley in Temecula Valley while learning about the art of wine-making. With this exclusive Local Deal, subscribers can take a guided five-hour trolley tour to four wineries of guests' choosing, which includes six to nine wine tastings per stop plus a catered lunch and souvenir wine glass for $59, regularly $119.

The trolley picks you up between 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. from various departure spots: the fountain at Civic Center in Old Town, Pechanga Resort & Casino, or any hotel on Jefferson. As you step on board, the staff welcomes you with a glass of sparkling prosecco or local wine. The tour takes you to four wineries that can include Temecula's leading producers. Past award-winning wineries visited on the tour include Palumbo Winery, Hart Winery and Oak Mountain.

Around midday, stop at a winery for a catered patio lunch that includes a choice of grilled beef tri-tip sandwich, chicken Caesar salad or roasted seasonal vegetable wrap, accompanied with a fruit assortment and non-alcoholic beverage. The final stop typically brings you to Old Town, where many boutique wineries have their tasting rooms. End the night by exploring Old Town, and leave the tour with a souvenir glass.

The trolley can hold up to 34 passengers and runs seven days a week.
