The Fine Print

Vouchers can be redeemed starting Monday, July 25, through Sept. 26, 2011. Valid for one half-day Lower Gorge Run white water rafting trip. Reservations are required, and are subject to availability. Confirm your rafting reservations as soon as possible for optimal availability. Merchant cancellation and re-scheduling policy applies; voucher subject to forfeiture. Limit one voucher per person per trip. Not valid Saturdays or Sundays. Age restrictions may apply depending on water conditions, please email raft@goldrushriver.com. Additional fees apply for meals, camping and upgrades. Must be used in 1 visit. Not valid for products. Tax and gratuity are not included. This deal cannot be combined with any other offers. No cash value or cash back.

The Deal

This deal is for For $50, experience the thrill of the South Fork of the American River's class III rapids while taking in the stunning scenery of the adjacent state park. Regularly $100, this half-day adventure on Lower Gorge Run includes all your gear.

The trip begins at 8 a.m., when you'll make your way 11 miles upstream by bus. After a brief orientation and safety training, hop aboard a six-person raft and head into intense class III rapids. Then let your heartbeat return to normal with a peaceful float through Marshall Gold Discovery State Park with numerous class II rapids.

This adventure is suitable for beginner and intermediate rafters.

Update: (July 15, 5 p.m. PT): The Lower Gorge Run is a
10-mile, 4-hour river trip on the South Fork of the American River and
departs at 1:00 p.m. (not 8 a.m. as stated above). After a mild start
with class II rapids, tackle some of the largest, size-wise, rapids on
the river. You do not travel through Marshall Gold Discovery State Park
on this run.
