The Deal

Take to the rapids of the Gauley River in West Virginia, which Frommer's says is one of the Top 10 Whitewater River Rafting Destinations in the world and spend two nights at basecamp with this adrenaline-pumping Local Deal from River Expeditions. For $125 per person, this adventure includes an all-day rafting trip with all required gear, some meals and use of campsite. This trip would regularly cost $204.

Use this deal now through the fall on Sundays-Fridays with select September and October dates for the Lower Gauley for a trip that includes:

• Rafting on the Lower New River or Lower Gauley River; perfect for adventurous beginners or raft down the lower section of the New River, recommended by Travel + Leisure, encompassing Class II-V rapids (suitable for ages 12 and older)

• Deli lunch on the river and beverages after the trip

• Shuttle service to and from the river

• Two nights of tent camping: Guests must bring their own tent and sleeping bag

• Continental breakfast both days

• Use of the lodge with free Wi-Fi, hot showers, outdoor pool, hot tubs and on-site saloon

• Souvenir photo CD with shots of your raft traveling down the river

Once on site, campers have the option of upgrading to a cabin and or deluxe dinner for an additional cost. Bring your own tent, or you can rent a four-person platform tent starting at $50 per night.

Vouchers can be redeemed starting Friday, July 20, through Oct. 21, 2012. Reservations are required and subject to availability. Valid for rafting on Sunday – Friday only; Lower New River or Lower Gauley River only. Trips on the Lower Gauley are valid only on the following dates: Sept. 7, 9, 10, 14, 16, 17, 21, 23, 24, 28, 30; Oct. 1, 5, 7, 8, 14 and 21. Based on availability. Travel must be booked and completed by 10/21/12; no extensions or substitutions. Not valid for rafting on Saturday. Upgrade to deluxe dinner for $20 (direct to merchant from customer on site). A 15-day cancellation policy applies or voucher is subject to forfeiture. No refunds. No cash value or cash back unless required by state or local laws. Gratuity, if applicable, is not included. Must be 12 years old or older to participate. In the interest of safety, this is not valid for pregnant women. This deal cannot be combined with any other offer. Must be used in 1 visit.
