The Discovery Channel celebrates 25 years of "Shark Week" this year, and with this Local Deal from Snappa Charters, Travelzoo subscribers can experience shark-diving for themselves and get up-close views of these creatures off the coast of Rhode Island for $159 per person. Regularly $235, set out into the Atlantic for a 10-hour shark-diving excursion aboard the Snappa, departing less than a one-hour drive from Providence in Narragansett, R.I.

Join Captain Charlie Donilon, who will administrate a brief orientation and demonstration for cage divers as the boat sails 20-50 miles offshore. Thrill-seekers can step into the "Anti Shark Cage" that holds up to three divers at a time (certification through PADI, SSI, YMCA or NAUI required). Or, observe the sharks from the "Playpen" surface platform with views of wildlife below (suitable for noncertified snorkelers).

During this once-in-a-lifetime experience, get up-close views of mako blue or basking sharks and other marine life like dolphins, sea turtles and marlin. Trips depart at 6 a.m. and return by 4 p.m.
