  • You can also save more with these options: take the trip with a friend for $189, regularly $400, or rent out a private boat with a group of six for $549, regularly $1200. Bring your own food and drinks to enjoy during the trip.

Nothing really stood out about the trip.

It was extremely cold and windy which made for a miserable time. He ended the day early and allowed us to re-book at a later date. I would like to think when you book with a guide that they would check to see if the fish are in the system before taking 6 people out for a boat ride. He tried many spots and techniques. It seems to come down to compteting the trip by the end of the month to satisfy the voucher. When you have to drive 5 hours in one direction you would like to be able to come home with some fish, especially when you do it two different times! Once being frozen ( in an open boat, no cover to break the wind) and not seeing a fish on the finders is not what you expect from a guide.

the river, the views

After 4 fishless biteless hours, we could have moved or tried something different. 6 rods, finally 1 fish. At least the last couple of hours we could have tried something different.

I felt that Dan put forth a great effort to catch fish, although the fish did not cooperate to well. being a retired charter captain I know what fishing is and it does not always involve catching. all in all a good day on beautiful river.
