$10 - Arizona Balloon Classic: Admission for 2, Half Off

The Deal

Featured in The Arizona Republic, the 2012 Arizona Balloon Classic is expected to attract around 15,000 spectators the weekend of Dec. 7. For $10, Travelzoo subscribers can attend this event with a friend for half off. Go with four people for $19, regularly $40, and save even more.

Taking place at the the Gilbert Civic Center from Friday, Dec. 7, through Sunday, Dec. 9, this year's event will feature up to 25 hot air balloons, including some in special shapes. The mornings of Saturday, Dec. 8, and Sunday, Dec. 9, attendees can witness the balloons lifting off in unison for the "Hare and Hound" races, in which one balloon (the "hare") leads and the rest of the balloons (the "hounds") follow and try to land close to the leader.

The evenings of Friday, Dec. 7, and Saturday, Dec. 8, the balloons will be tethered and glowing in time to music for the "Desert Glows" spectacle. A firework show will takes place on Saturday.

Parking is complimentary, and children 12 and younger are admitted free. The Arizona Balloon Classic also features live entertainment, children's activities, exhibits, shopping and concessions (available for purchase on-site).

Vouchers can be redeemed on one of the following three event dates: Friday, Dec. 7, from 5:30-9 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 8, from 5:30 a.m. - 9 p.m.; or Sunday, Dec. 9, from 5:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. Children 12 or younger are free.
