The Deal

Take in a bird's-eye view of the scenery and wildlife of the Sonoran Desert with this Local Deal for a hot air balloon flight. This 45-minute sunrise ride with Unicorn Balloon Company -- including a commemorative sparkling wine toast -- is $99 for Travelzoo subscribers, regularly $185.

Riders will soar several thousand feet in the air, a perch that provides a panorama of the desert stretching 100 miles. Pilots vary the altitude of the balloon during the 45-minute journey, descending closer to the ground for views of desert flora and fauna like coyotes, jack rabbits, desert mule deer, saguaro cactus and Palo Verde trees.

The $99 per-person deal is valid Monday-Friday only; the $999 private deal is valid 7 days a week. Not valid on major holidays and holiday weekends. Flights are subject to availability and are weather permitting. Riders must weigh 200 lbs. or less; a $50 surcharge will be applied for riders weighing more than 200 lbs. All riders must be at least 6 years old. There is a minimum of 6 riders per flight; if fewer than 6 riders are booked, your flight may be rescheduled. For the $999 private deal, the maximum total weight limit of your party is 1900 lbs.; maximum 12 riders. In the interest of safety, this deal is not valid for pregnant women. Valid only for sunrise flights. Voucher is subject to forfeiture if you cancel or reschedule a reservation with less than 48 hours' notice. Must sign waiver.
