The Arizona Republic praises Ballet Arizona's Nutcracker, saying "every year you can count on it to bring pleasure" and "theatrical magic." Tickets to five pre-Christmas performances of this holiday classic are 35% off for Travelzoo subscribers.

Discounted Orchestra and Balcony tickets are $21.50-$101.50 (reg. $33.50-$156.50) for the following performance dates and times:

• Saturday, Dec. 15 at 2 p.m.
• Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m.
• Thursday, Dec. 20 at 7 p.m.
• Friday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The show includes special effects such as a Christmas tree that "grows" to 40 feet, 200 pounds of falling "snow" and the firing of a canon onstage.
