The Deal

Stroll over to Park Avenue, regarded as Winter Park’s “biggest draw” by Frommer’s and known for its “fine restaurants” by Fodor’s, to check out one of the newest restaurants in the area. Avenue Thai and Sushi, which opened in October, already earns a 4.5-star Yelp rating and garners a 100% like rating on Urbanspoon. With this deal, two can order $40 worth of food and drinks from the dinner menu for $20.

Diners can select from the Thai menu:

• Starters, such as spring rolls ($4.50) and cheese rangoon ($6) or soups, such as tom yum and tom kha ($4.50 each)

• Entrees, such as pad thai and Avenue fried rice ($9.95-$13.95 each) or Thai curries, such as spicy red curry and yellow curry ($10.95-$14.95 each)  

Or select from the sushi menu:

• Starters, such as edamame ($4) and miso soup ($3), or sushi and sashimi, such as tuna ($3 per piece) and salmon ($2.50 per piece)

• Sushi rolls, such as California roll ($6), shrimp tempura roll ($10) and Caribbean roll ($14)

The menu also includes a variety of drinks. You can pair your meal with a glass of Red Rock Merlot ($7). Or you can use the $40 toward a bottle of Hess Select Sauvignon Blanc ($30).
