The Deal

Zagat calls Gemmell's Restaurant in Dana Point Harbor "fabulous fine dining" and gives it an "excellent" (25) rating for cuisine. Additionally, Gayot named it one of the Top 10 French Restaurants in Orange County, and now Travelzoo subscribers can experience this acclaimed eatery with an exclusive dinner for two. For $55, savor a four-course dinner that would regularly cost $117.

The dinner includes the following from chef Byron Gemmell's menu:

• An appetizer to share (up to $11.95), such as wild mushrooms sauteed with herb butter or house-smoked salmon

• Two salads or soups (up to $9.95 each), including the organic mixed baby greens salad or lobster bisque

• Two entrees (up to $29.95 each), such as scallops sauteed in a garlic Champagne butter sauce and the New York steak finished with a green peppercorn brandy sauce

• Two desserts (served with coffee or tea), including favorites like warm apple tart with vanilla ice cream and French crepes with vanilla ice cream (excludes the souffles)

Or, four people can have this dinner for $99 (regularly $235), which includes two apps to share, four soups or salads, four entrees, four desserts, and four coffees or teas.

Gemmell's is next to the Dana Point Marina and offers a covered patio for alfresco dining.
