Remy/Youngs served numerous Hahn wines thru 5PM, Piper Heidsieck poured their $53 product as generously as their $29 & $12 ones. Estates Group poured delicious Gainey Chardonnay & Two Sisters $30 Pinot Noir after 4:45PM. W.J. Deustch, Regal Wine Co., and numerous others were still pouring what they had left. Kobrand/Marcella woke up the scene with unique Argentinian & New Zealand wines which they also poured until the end of the event.

Apprived @ 2:45 for "pass around appetizers" which should have keep coming at least until after 4PM for a 2 to 5PM Unlimited drinking event....3PM no more appetizers. Three baskets with small crackers were for the whole restaurant. Having marked the wineries I wanted to taste, my first table was Stag's Leap Chardonnay. "No, we don't have any left" Surprised, I said "Do you have the Cab or 19 Crimes you advertised?" "No, we were out of Chardonanay almost immediately and out of Stags leap by 2:45PM" I decided I better get to my other favorites immediately if this was going to be the situation. Opus One was out of Overture by 2:30PM, 3:45PM Laetitia Brut Cuvee and Pinot Noir - gone. Francis Ford Coppola's Sofia Rose and Reisling - out before 4PM. Thornhill Companies, whose Bien Nacido Chardonnay & Pinot Noir cost between $35 & $45, weren't even manning their table by 4PM. Scott's provided people with a 20% discount of THEIR food, at additional cost to us. Bad idea...

Good selection of wines, if I were able to try them.

The event was WAY oversold. The crowds were so thick at times, I couldn't even get to the tables where I wanted to try wines. As for "passed appetizers," in the three hours I was there, they offered 2" square ham sandwiches and then a toast point with cucumber sauce, or a cucumber stuffed with some filling. There were a few baskets of bread around, but nothing else. I wound up having to eat lunch in the restaurant for $30 more because I was getting so hungry. The wait staff was good at first, but after an hour, they seemed irritated to be there. I asked for a glass of water because they ran out of bottled water, and the server was impatient.

The wine experience was wonderful, but there was no food there was approx 300+ ppl spread over 4 different branches of the resturant . I was able to see one food tray pass and none after that. Scotts did manage to have baskets of crackers out, but nothing much other than that with the amount of guest there should have been hot serving trays out at each location that should have been replinished this is a very high end resturant and to see the lack of food support was well below my expectations

Good value, fun atmosphere.

Guys/gals walking around with appetizer trays rarely stopped to ask if you were interested in what they had. You had to flag them down or they just walked around in circles until they were stopped.

Too many people and no food. The servers literally couldn't step 5 steps from the kitchen before people took all the appetizers. Lot's of rude people too. It seemed that because the wine prices were on the sheets they gave us that people went for the expensive tastes and would never move on! I would pay double the price next time if they cut the number they sell in half. I go to alot of wine events but this one was way too chaotic.
