The Fine Print

Vouchers can be redeemed starting Friday, Aug. 26, through May 31, 2012. Reservations are required and are subject to availability. A fishing license is not included. Anyone 16 years old and older must have a fishing license in the state of California. This deal is not valid on holidays or holiday weekends. Tax and a fuel surcharge are not included. This deal cannot be combined with any other offer. Voucher must be used in 1 visit. No cash value or cash back.

The Deal

Cast a line into the Pacific with a full-day deep sea fishing trip from Davey's Locker in Newport Beach. This $45, 10-hour excursion ventures out to coastal waters or Catalina Island, where Travelzoo subscribers can try to catch more than 30 varieties of fish. This package includes a lunch, rigged rod rental, boarding pass and bait, and normally costs $93.50.

Depart Newport Bay at 7 a.m. to hunt for white sea bass, striped marlin, barracudas and even 40-pound yellowtail.  While at sea, the cruise staff serves a lunch that includes a choice of a cheeseburger, hamburger or grilled cheese with a bag of chips and nonalcoholic beverage. Designed for all skill levels, this expedition takes place on a fully equipped ship with indoor and outdoor seating, a full-service kitchen and restrooms. The boat can fit more than 40 people and returns to port at 5 p.m.
