The Deal

It's currently the time of year when blue whales make their way into the waters off the coast of SoCal, and now Travelzoo subscribers can sail out on the open sea during a 2.5-hour whale-watching tour from Newport Landing. For $15 per person, get a boarding pass and drink to sip while gazing out at the rolling waves and wildlife. This experience regularly costs $36.

Tours run daily at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. and depart from Newport Beach. The two-story boat offers indoor and outdoor seating that provides panoramic views of the waters and horizon. You can also catch views of the sunset and other marine life like dolphins, sea lions and sea birds.

Onboard drink options include a glass of wine, beer, soda or water (up to $4). Or, you can get a coffee, tea, hot chocolate or espresso drink (up to $4) pre- or post-cruise at the next-door Mermaid Coffee Bar.
