The Deal

Explore Newport Bay during an afternoon kayak excursion with Newport Fun Tours. For $39, two people can rent a kayak for three hours and stop at a nearby beach for a picnic lunch. This deal regularly costs up to $110 and includes either two single kayaks or a double kayak.

Before you head out to sea, you'll receive a map of the bay and the picnic lunch, which includes sandwiches, chips and bottled waters. Then, paddle through open waters to explore the sights, such as Little Balboa Island, Balboa Island, the Newport cityscape and marine life. Dock on one of the islands or any bay-area beach for lunch, which includes a chicken pita fiesta sandwich or pesto chicken sandwich for each person.

Or, for $29, get the same three-hour kayak rental for two without the lunch, regularly up to $90.

If you don't know how to kayak, Newport Fun Tours will provide instruction before you head out.
