Visit Sunday-Thursday through peak summer season until the end of October for $129, and spend one night in a basic, spacious room in the rustic back cottage. For $149, upgrade to the main inn building, where rooms have newer furnishings and fixtures. The main building has a sunny living room with lending library as well as a dining area, where all guests receive fresh continental breakfast.

Staying here gives you the option to purchase a $10-per-person daily pass to Westhampton's beach, a pass that can only be purchased by area residents or hotel guests, meaning the sand will be less crowded. The beach is less than a mile down the road from the inn, an easy walk, or the inn can arrange free shuttle service.

They can also arrange to pick you up from the Long Island Rail Road station or Jitney stop. No shuttle is necessary to reach Westhampton Village's Main Street, which is just around the corner and has charming boutiques and restaurants.

Add tennis to the day's schedule for an additional $30, which provides two guests with a day of unlimited court usage at the Eastside Tennis Academy, including equipment rental.
