The Deal

Located on the iconic St. Charles Avenue in Lafayette Square, Mike's on the Avenue was hailed by Zagat as "iconic" with "first-rate" cuisine. For $59, savor a four-course dinner for two, including wine, regularly $122.

Mike's is the creation between restaurateur Vicky Bayley and chef and artist Mike Fennelly, who both ran the original Mike's when it first opened in the early '90s. Ten years later they've re-opened the eatery in the same space with a new menu. Enjoy Louisiana dishes with an Asian twist, a nod to the chef's recent travels around the world, with this meal including:

• A shared appetizer like Louisiana barbeque oysters in Korean barbeque sauce with pancetta

• Two Mike's house salads with carrots, beets and edamame in tomato-ginger vinaigrette

• Two entrees like the grilled garlic-studded filet mignon with asparagus and mashed potatoes or New Orleans-style bouillabaisse with redfish, clams and scallops
