The Fine Print

Vouchers can be redeemed starting Friday, March 25 through June 24, 2011. Valid in dining room only. Tax and gratuity are not included. Must be used in 1 visit. Multiple vouchers may be used, 1 for every 2 people. Must be 21 to drink alcohol. This deal cannot be combined with any other offer. No cash value or cash back.

The Deal

Travel + Leisure just named Cafe Adelaide & the Swizzle Stick Bar at Loews New Orleans Hotel one of the "Best Happy Hours" in the entire nation. Grab a friend to split four deliciously handcrafted cocktails and three appetizers for $35. A signature cocktail normally costs as much as $13. 

Nosh on any three appetizers from the "Nibbles" and "Tastes" menus such as the blue crab pound cake or  shrimp and tasso "corndogs." For drinks, try the Adelaide Swizzle (rum, Peychaud's bitters, lime, club soda and a secret ingredient) or Oh What A Night! (rye whiskey, sweet vermouth, lemon, pomegranate grenadine and champagne).

The New York Times calls the bar "classy" and gives a shout-out to its well-known mixologist Lu Brow. It's also rated a 25 for food and decor by Zagat (which is "extraordinary to perfection"). Along with this top mixologist, Cafe Adelaide is home of top-rated chef Chris Lusk who was named as one of four breakout chefs to watch by Esquire magazine (2009). Lusk also recently hosted a dinner at James Beard House.
