The Deal

Plan ahead for spring fishing season now with an exclusive Local Deal from Randy's Fishing Trips & Whale Watching, which earns a 4-star average rating from TripAdvisor users. For $49 per person, regularly up to $80, embark on an all-day deep-sea fishing excursion on the Pacific Ocean.

In business for more than 60 years, Randy's trips depart from Old Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey and take Travelzoo subscribers into the Pacific to catch their choice of fish. Choose between:

• Salmon fishing trip, which lasts around seven hours and offers the chance to catch up to two salmon (departs at 5:30 a.m.)

• Cod fishing trip, which lasts around six hours with the chance to catch up to 10 rock cod and two lingcod (departs at 6:30 a.m.)

Note: Fishing rod, license, tackle and burlap sack are all required but not included in the price of this deal; they can be rented/purchased at the shop prior to departure. Expect to spend around $12 - $34.

Vouchers can be redeemed starting Sunday, April 7, through Oct. 31, 2013. Reservations are required and subject to availability. Not valid on Saturdays in June and July. Any equipment or licensing needed is not included and may be rented or purchased prior to departure. Valid photo ID is required. Printed vouchers are preferred. Failure to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure time may result in canceled reservation. Voucher is subject to forfeiture if you cancel or reschedule your reservation with less than 48 hours’ notice. Boats must have a minimum of 10 passengers and are based on trip availability. Trips are subject to cancellation due to lack of participation or foul weather. Not valid on major holidays or holiday weekends. Fish-cleaning services are not included. Cannot be applied to any other type of fishing trip except as described.
