The Deal

Set amid sprawling vineyards, lavender fields and olive trees, The Sundance Inn in Paso Robles creates a serene retreat with spacious suites at nearly 60% off. For $249, two guests can take a midweek two-night escape to savor wine and indulge in R&R at this bed-and-breakfast. Weekend two-night stays cost $50 more.

Wine down with reds and whites paired with cheese, crackers and other appetizers as a welcome. Also included in this Travelzoo-exclusive deal are two vouchers for free wine tastings and discounts at area wineries.

Each suite at the Tuscan-style villa -- which is nestled on a private, 10-acre estate -- is equipped with a private sundeck with sweeping views, a whirlpool tub and Wi-Fi access. Rise and shine with breakfast items such as house-made granola or scones along with eggs and fresh fruit. Then head to the peaceful countryside for a drive or stroll along back roads that lead to several nearby wineries.

TripAdvisor awarded the inn (formerly Villa Valdemosa) with the 2012 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence. Paso Robles is a 3.5-hour drive from both Los Angeles and San Francisco.
