The Deal

Step back in time and experience the old-world charm of the iconic Cherokee Tavern in West St. Paul. The restaurant first opened its doors in 1933 and recently underwent a renovation to restore its original interior. For $39, two people can dine on three-course dinner with drinks, normally $90.

Choose the following from the classic American menu:

• Share an appetizer such as the ribs and rings -- the restaurant's signature onion rings served alongside pork ribs or the walleye fingers served with homemade tartar sauce

• Two entrees, such as the steer tenderloin wrapped in bacon and served with sauteed mushrooms or grilled salmon glazed with a sweet Thai chili sauce and topped with pineapple mango salsa

• Split a dessert such as the chocolate lava cake or Key lime pie

Complement dinner with a drink each from the restaurant's full bar or wine list.
