The Deal

"It doesn't get much more glamorous than this," says Gayot about swanky Cicada restaurant, located in the historic 1928 Oviatt Building downtown. Soaring 30-foot ceilings and hand-carved maple columns set the stage for this romantic dinner for two. With this deal, five courses are $89, more than half off the regular price.

Dinner begins with two glasses of prosecco and winds down with coffee and tea service. The decadent, five-course menu includes the following choices for each diner:

• Course 1: Heirloom tomato and fresh basil soup or cream of asparagus soup

• Course 2: Mixed green and fresh corn salad or artichoke and arugula salad

• Course 3: Homemade gnocchi with shiitake mushrooms or smoked chicken risotto with leeks and truffle oil

• Course 4: New Zealand bass in lime beurre blanc sauce, grilled New York strip with roasted fingerling potatoes or filet mignon finished with a house demi-glace and mashed potatoes

• Course 5: Chocolate molten cake with fresh berries or Oreo cookie-crust cheesecake
