The Deal

Scarlet Tea Room & Fine Dining cradles diners "in the lap of luxury," says Pasadena Weekly, which names it Best Tea Room. Subscribers can have afternoon tea or lunch at this Old Town Pasadena venue for $19, regularly $40. Or for $29, regularly $66, have evening tea or dinner with Champagne.

With the $19 deal, choose $40 worth of anything on the lunch or afternoon tea menus, such as the Mini Tea with a small pot of loose leaf tea and two homemade scones (with lemon curd, preserves and Scarlet cream; $11.95). Pair it with two lunch entrees, like a cranberry walnut chicken salad sandwich ($13.95) and a poached pear and berry salad ($12.95).

Or for the $29 evening deal, begin with two glasses of Champagne (almond or extra dry), and then choose any $50 worth of items from the evening tea or dinner menus. An evening tea experience for two could include the signature five-course evening tea to share (reg. $40); or get two of them for $30 more (paid directly to merchant).

The evening credit can also be spent on several shareable dinner menu items, like grape leaf-baked goat cheese ($12), Spanish flatbread pizza with truffle creme fraiche ($14) and sauteed gnocchi ($14). Dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings features live music.

Vouchers can be redeemed starting Tuesday, Feb. 26, through May 1, 2013. Lunch and afternoon tea are served Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Evening tea is served Tuesday-Thursday with seatings at 4 and 4:30 p.m. and Friday-Saturday 6 p.m. to closing. Dinner is served Friday-Saturday 6 p.m. to closing. Valid for a minimum of 2 diners (no maximum). Reservations are required and subject to availability. Only valid during evening tea and/or dinner OR afternoon tea and/or lunch, depending on which deal you purchase. Voucher holder is responsible for any items purchased in excess of the food/beverage credit in addition to gratuity and tax, which are not included in the cost of this voucher.
