The Deal

Get a taste of the Big Easy at Nola's, in the heart of the Downtown Arts District and featured in LA Weekly, with this exclusive deal for two. For $49, dine on three courses of Creole cuisine with cocktails and live jazz music, regularly $101. Or for $95, make it a group outing with this dinner for four people, regularly $202.

Executive Chef Gary Sims infuses Nola's menu with traditional recipes, like the roux-based seafood gumbo prepared with shrimp and chicken stock. Dine indoors or on the patio and select:

• Two "The Big Easy" appetizers with your choice of gumbo, jambalaya, shrimp etouffee or red beans and rice (you can also add seafood to any of these options)

• Any two entrees, like Nola's homemade fried chicken -- one of the chef's most popular dishes -- a 10-ounce espresso rib eye, or seafood gumbo with shrimp, crab claws and andouille pork sausage. Entrees come with a choice of side, like mac 'n' cheese or collared greens

• Any shared dessert, such as bread pudding or peach cobbler

• Two cocktails, beers or glasses of wine, like a Hurricane with light and dark rum, Southern Comfort and passion fruit juice or a Sazerac (Bulleit rye, Peychaud's, angostura bitters and lemon essence)

The restaurant boasts an in-house stage and baby grand piano, with local jazz artists performing live most nights.
