Since its opening in March 2010, Culina restaurant inside the Beverly Hills Four Seasons Hotel has received high marks for its gourmet cuisine and opulent setting. Esquire magazine calls it one of the "Best New Restaurants" in the nation, while Angeleno magazine calls the food "fantastic" and "exquisite." For $89, Travelzoo subscribers get a first-hand experience of all this restaurant has to offer. This dinner for two, including two glasses of champagne, two grappa flights and a bottle of custom olive oil to take home, would regularly cost $250.
This decadent, five-course menu is prepared by Chef de Cuisine Victor Cassanova and includes:
Course 1: Hamachi (yellowtail), lobster and sea urchin crudo served with star anise, chive, orange, grapefruit and pink peppercorn
Course 2: Brussel leaves and shaved autumn vegetables, pomegranate and parmigiano reggiano cheese, dressed with apple cider vinaigrette
Course 3: Authentic tagliatelle pasta served with ragu Bolognese
Course 4: Black merluzzo (cod) with roasted blueberry and saba syrup, served with kale cabbage and salsify
Course 5: Espresso, chocolate and pistachio profiteroles, drizzled with chocolate sauce and paired with gelato
With dinner, each person will receive a complimentary glass of champagne and grappa flight. The flight includes Jacopo Poli Grappa di Vespaiolo, Marolo Grappa di Chamomile and Berta Grappa di Nebbiolo. Finally, take home a bottle of specially pressed and labeled olive oil.
