The Deal

For $17 per person, take in scenic views of LA -- from Catalina Island to the Mojave Desert -- on a chairlift ride from the base of Mt. Baldy to 7,800 feet in elevation, then indulge in an unlimited breakfast buffet at the top. This experience with The Lifts at Mt. Baldy is regularly $35.

Breakfast is served Saturday and Sunday mornings at Top of the Notch Restaurant, which won the LA Weekly award for "Best View with a Restaurant." Take as many trips to the buffet as you'd like, with options including scrambled eggs, pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage, cereal, oatmeal, fresh juices and coffee. You can enjoy breakfast in the dining room or on the scenic patio.

After breakfast, you can take the chairlift back down or choose to spend the day hiking Mt. Baldy's numerous hiking trails, which also offer spectacular views of the LA basin.

Travelzoo Tip: Hike the Devil's Backbone to get all the way to Mt. Baldy's summit. At 10,800 feet in elevation, it offers the best views of the area.
