The wineries that I was actually able to go to. In particular, Clavo, Kaleidos, and Changrla. We had great experiences with the pourers, and they gave us a discount on our wine at Clavo.

Despite all the wineries listed, we could only visit three of them, so we did not actually save any money, but we did get a chance to visit 3 wineries I'd never been to. Every single other winery had either opted out, was closed (on a Saturday??) or never even returned our call.

Variety of wines and friendly vineyards

We went in the middle of the week so not all of the vinyards were open. This gave us a quiet one on one experience at most of the vineyards. Most of the vineyards were attended by owners or very knowledgeable employees who were able to tell us about the wines and recommend wineries we may be interested in. A few gave us cupons for free tastings elsewhere. Some highlights were Clavo and Vines on the Marycrest (they had some of our favorite wine). Le Cuvier provided a food pairing to go with the wine, and Whalebone had olive oil tastings as well. If you enjoy Port, Pasoport (who was not on the passport) has an amazing white port. We are hoping to be able to go back and try the rest of the wineries on the passport.

It was confusing at first to establish which wineries were participants. Some had backed out and they are quite spread apart.

The wineries we made it to were great and the overall experience is not in reference to the wineries that were participants, it was more about the organization of the actual passport and mapping out where to go. If the list had been provided ahead of time it would have greatly improved the experience.

Experiencing smaller wineries.

Ambyth Estate refused to honor the Passport despite being listed.

We picked up our passport at Clavo Cellars. People there didn't know how to provide the passport until another employee arrived about 10 minutes later. After that, we had a nice tasting there.
