The Deal

Retreat to Kansas City's 4-star Hotel Phillips, noted on the National Register of Historic Places. Travelzoo has exclusively negotiated a $159 package for two that includes an overnight stay and a three-course dinner with wine at the hotel's 12 Baltimore restaurant (regularly $317).

This deal includes:

• Any two appetizers, soups or salads,
like the the beef tenderloin salad with blue cheese and white balsamic vinaigrette, crab cake sliders or the popular amber chipotle wings, marinated in Boulevard beer and served with house-made ranch dressing

•Any two entrees, including the grilled flatiron steak with garlic mashed potatoes, the 12-ounce Kansas City strip steak or the popular pan-roasted chicken with parsnip puree, haricot vert and mustard sauce

• A dessert to share, like pecan pie or a warm
apple tart served with cinnamon ice cream

• Two glasses of wine, including a McKinlay Pinot Noir or a New Zealand sauvignon blanc from Clifford Bay (up to $14 each)
