The Deal

This summer, Travelzoo subscribers can spend a day at the zoo for $17 for two, regularly $34.50. This Local Deal is good for two adult admissions any day of the week to The Living Desert zoo and gardens in Palm Desert, rated 4.5 out of 5 stars on both Yelp and TripAdvisor, which names it one of the top attractions in the area.

The Living Desert's 1,200-acre property features a museum, desert gardens, wildlife exhibits and an educational center highlighting Southern California's unique desert habitats. Guests can learn about and see plants and wildlife, including bighorn sheep, mountain lions, rattlesnakes, lizards, owls, golden eagles and roadrunners. Frommer's calls it "a nonstuffy learning experience for kids and grown-ups alike."

Vouchers are also available for one child admission for $5 (regularly $8.75), good for kids ages three through 12.

Vouchers cannot be redeemed until SUNDAY, JULY 1. Vouchers can be redeemed starting Sunday, July 1 through Sept. 30, 2012. The Living Desert is open every day from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Last admission is at 1 p.m. Limit 1 voucher purchase per person; additional vouchers may be purchased as gifts. This deal cannot be combined with any other offer. Must be used in 1 visit.
