The Deal

The Houston Press hails the "innovative" dishes at The Union Kitchen's Bellaire Boulevard restaurant, and Urbanspoon users give the Memorial neighborhood hot spot an impressive 5-star rating. With this Local Deal for $35, two people can sit down to a three-course dinner at either location for less than $20 per person.

This offer is good for dinner any weekday; Friday and Saturday reservations are available for $45 for two and $85 for a group of four. With either deal, select:

• Any appetizer to share, such a Kobe beef carpaccio with chipotle aioli, cilantro and cotija cheese, or fried avocados stuffed with blue lump crab

• Any two entrees, such as filet mignon with roasted vegetables and a potato pancake; pan-seared scallops served over Parmesan risotto; or the restaurant's namesake burger, which the Houston Press describes as a tasting experience that will "rock your taste buds on multiple levels"

• Any dessert to share, like bananas Foster crepes, chocolate creme brulee or seasonal berries topped with Cointreau creme

The Union Kitchen is also an OpenTable Diners' Choice award winner for its brunch. For $15, two people can sit down to a Saturday or Sunday meal that includes any two items off the regular brunch menu.
