The Deal

Opened last fall in the Galleria area by famed restaurateur Piero Selvaggio and James Beard Award-winner Luciano Pellegrini, Valentino Houston presents artfully crafted Italian dishes with a contemporary twist. For $59, experience a three-course dinner for two with a choice of anything from the menu for each course, regularly as much as $139.

Selected earlier this year as one of Houston's "Best New Restaurants" by My Table magazine, this chic restaurant offers a choice of any two appetizers, two entrees and two desserts from the menu.

For starters, try the insalata Caprese with fresh buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes and basil, or prosciutto San Daniele served with cantaloupe melon. Entrees include lobster half moons dressed with spicy vodka sauce; grilled New York steak with arugula salad; and seared scallops served with asparagus and lemon caper sauce. For desserts, choose from flan cheesecake, cannoli, creme brulee and more.
