$79 - Geisha House: 5-Course Chef’s Dinner for 2, Reg. $170

The Deal

According to Gayot, Hollywood's Geisha House is one of the Top 10 LA Japanese Restaurants and is "a seriously hip venue with some serious cuisine." Travelzoo subscribers can experience dinner at this sleek restaurant with a five-course chef's menu for two for $79, regularly $170.

The menu features courses designed for both diners to share:

Starter:
• A miso soup per person
• Edamame

Second-course platter:
• Shishito peppers sauteed in soy and garlic
• Miso-glazed rock shrimp tempura
• Tuna taru taru with a select grade of tuna served on a bed of crispy toasted rice
• Spicy taru taru crispy rice

Third-course platter:
• Hamachi drizzled with hot sesame oil then cooled with a splash of ponzu, topped with fried spinach, parmesan dust and green chillies
• Stuffed avocado: crab, lobster and scallop stuffed in a whole avocado and served with three sauces
• Pan-seared sea bass, flavored with a house-made lemon and fresh ginger sauce
• Prime filet mignon and asparagus skewered, grilled and brushed with savory sauce

Fourth course:
• Lobsterbass roll: a lobster tempura and cucumber roll baked with sea bass and topped with a creamy sauce
• Red Samurai roll: spicy tuna and cucumber topped with avocado, tuna, grape tomatoes, serrano peppers and a vinaigrette
• Mango tuna stack

Fifth course:
• Molten lava cake with fruit

Or, for $149, four people can have this dinner (regularly $340).
