The Deal

Smuin Ballet is returning to the Lesher Center in Walnut Creek with its winter program, which features five entertaining ballets by world-renowned choreographers. Tickets are up to 50% off and start at $29.

Silver seating is $29 (reg. $54), Gold seating is $32 (reg. $64) and Platinum seating is $37 (reg. $70). Choose from three performances:

• Friday, Feb. 1 at 8 p.m.
• Saturday, Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The program includes "Cold Virtues" by Adam Hougland, said to have "a lot to offer the dance world" (Dance Magazine); Michael Smuin's romantic "Starshadows"; "Homeless," performed to the African rhythms of Paul Simon's "Graceland" album; and "No Viviré," featuring sounds of the Gipsy Kings. Lastly, watch the return of "Oh, Inverted World" with music by The Shins.
