The Deal

Hour Detroit named Beans & Cornbread the best soul food restaurant in the city and praises the "friendly" service at this Southfield-area bistro, reminiscent of an old Southern kitchen. With this Local Deal, two people can sit down to unlimited Sunday brunch for $25, regularly $46. Or, get lunch for two people -- including two entrees, soft drinks and a shared dessert -- for $19, regularly $40.

Owner Patrick Coleman says he designed the restaurant to resemble his grandmother's dining room and that his goal is to bring together the worlds of soul food and fine dining.

The rotating Sunday brunch menu may include items such as:
