The Deal

The Hudson Cafe, named after the iconic department store, serves brunch and lunch fare that The Detroit News' Molly Abraham calls "impressive not only in their flair and creativity but also in their quality." For $19, regularly $40, Travelzoo subscribers receive breakfast or lunch for two including drinks at this downtown eatery any day of the week.

Owner and Executive Chef Tom Teknos, a graduate of The French Culinary Institute, recommends the huevos rancheros featuring a homemade ranchero sauce and guacamole. Try his suggestion or anything from the menu, including:

• Any two entrees, like Very Berry Stuffed French Toast with banana cream cheese and berry compote, or fried chicken and waffles

• Any one side, such as homemade corned beef hash or cheesy grits

• Any two drinks, including coffee and tea, fresh-squeezed orange juice or specialty coffee drinks

This deal is also valid for lunch; entree choice includes the Hudson salad tossed in Maurice dressing.
