The Deal

Travel + Leisure magazine named the Sonnenalp Resort of Vail one of the 500 World's Best Hotels for 2012 -- the only property in Vail to land on the prestigious list. Now, Travelzoo subscribers can experience this European-inspired mountain retreat's AAA 4-Diamond restaurant, Ludwig's, with a three-course dinner for $35, regularly $69.

Ludwig's features upscale New American cuisine crafted with fresh, local and seasonal ingredients. The restaurant's Executive Chef, Steve Topple, brings a specialty in fresh seafood and wild game to the restaurant's menu. This three-course dinner (priced per person) includes a choice of the following:

• An appetizer like the warm portabello mozzarella tower served with tomato vinaigrette; a tasting of ceviche; or a half-dozen oysters (up to $18)

• An entree like potato-crusted Colorado trout; pork tenderloin Wellington with apple chutney; or chicken breast over truffle risotto (up to $37)

• Any dessert like a winter-spiced plum tart; or the Valhrona trio featuring creme brulee, molten cake and a chocolate terrine (up to $14)
