Mile High Drives doesn't just put stock vehicles on the road -- their Corvette has been modified to reach 450+ horsepower, and their GT3 Porsche is outfitted with a full racing setup featuring a roll cage and five-point harness. The Nissan GTR needs no adjustments -- it pumps out over 500 horsepower and goes from zero to 60 in less than three seconds, earning it awards including Motor Trend's Car of the Year in 2009.

Drives depart from Golden, a half hour west of downtown Denver, and allow drivers to experience the twists, turns and elevation changes of roads in the Rocky Mountain foothills. Trips can be scheduled any day of the week without worrying about hitting the bumper-to-bumper traffic of downtown. A Mile High Drives instructor will ride along to show you how to approach turns, handle curves and safely get the most out of the vehicle.

Drives can be scheduled 7 days a week between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m.; for the best experience, scheduling during rush hour is not recommended.
