CBS says the Denver Firefighters Museum -- located in the historic Firehouse No. 1 built in 1909 -- is one of the top smaller-scale museums in the city. Admission for two is $6 with this deal, regularly up to $12, and represents a discount for seniors and children 2-12 as well (children under 2 are free).
Chronicling firefighting history through the years, the museum features hands-on exhibits about fire prevention and child-size firefighter's gear. 10Best.com says "kids, especially, love this place, because they can slide down the pole, don some firefighting gear, clamber onto a fire engine, and put out that (imaginary) blaze."
