The Deal

Tours take place on one of five different trails in Pike's Peak National Forest at elevations of around 9,000 feet; trails travel through forest and along the side of creeks, and some boast views of Colorado Springs. Equipment like snowshoes and ski poles to use during the half-day trip are provided, as well as hot chocolate and light snacks for the trip.

First Ascent recommends that hikers plan to bring water and a lunch as well as wearing appropriate clothes for the conditions - and don't forget a camera or binoculars to take in the backcountry sights.
