The Deal

Zagat gives the Northern Italian cuisine at Giovanni's Ristorante a rare "extraordinary to perfection" (27) rating and calls out the "spectacular wines," and The Plain Dealer celebrates the 4-star service that "never misses a beat." For $25, regularly $53, two people can sit down to an acclaimed lunch with wine. Or for $45, four people receive the same deal at a greater discount, regularly $106.

Owner Carl Quagliata says that people keep coming back for the seafood dishes. With this deal, two diners can choose:

• Two entrees, like potato gnocchi with local beef short rib, spinach and pecorino; or mussels with tomatoes, chilies, pesto aioli and house fries (up to $18 each)

• Two glasses of house wine (up to $8.50 each), such as 2007 Sterling Sauvignon Blanc or 2005 Terra Rosa Malbec
