The Deal

Giovanni's Ristorante "never misses a beat," says The Plain Dealer, which celebrates the venerable restaurant's "fine dining accompanied by four-star service." Zagat gives Giovanni's Northern Italian cuisine an "extraordinary to perfection" (27) rating and calls out the "spectacular wines." For $69, regularly $144, Travelzoo subscribers can sit down to a skillfully prepared dinner for two people including wine.

Owner Carl Quagliata says that people keep coming back for the seafood and highlights that the pasta is handmade. With this deal, two diners can choose:

• Any one appetizer, including shrimp fra diavolo served with sausage, polenta and a poached egg or oysters on the half shell with pink peppercorn mignonette

• Two entrees, such as garganelli verde, a pasta with local suckling pig, fennel sausage and tomato; or sea scallops served with pumpkin, fennel, foie gras and local cider zabaglione, an Italian custard (up to $36 each)

• Any two desserts, like cherries jubilee or bananas foster (up to $10 each)

• Two cups of coffee

• Two glasses of house wine (up to $10 each), such as Kris Pinot Grigio or Rocca Delle Macie Chianti Classico
