The Deal

Metromix says Caliterra, located in the Hyatt Chicago Magnificent Mile, "gleefully mixes Italian and California ingredients and styles," and Gayot notes "flavor and good taste are no strangers to [this] menu." With this deal, two can dine steps from Michigan Avenue for $39, regularly as much as $79.

Take a seat in the dining room that Gayot calls "comfortable and casually intimate" and select:

• Any appetizer or flatbread like the arancini with smoked mozzarella, saffron aioli and fried basil; wood-oven roasted shrimp with gazpacho and jalapeno oil; or chicken sausage flatbread with fontina cheese and caramelized onions

• Any two entrees like the chicken Palermo with artichokes and heirloom tomatoes, lemon risotto with fresh peas and truffles, or Gorgonzola-crusted filet of beef served with toasted pine nuts and asparagus

• A dessert to share like tiramisu with Tia Maria sauce, mascarpone cheesecake with berries or a selection of ice creams made in-house
