With wines applauded by Robert Parker, the San Francisco International Wine Competition, the Orange County Fair Wine Competition and more, this boutique Los Olivos winery specializes in Rhône-style varietals, perfect with the Santa Ynez climate. Two can enjoy:

• A private winery tour through the fermentation and barrel rooms, while the guide goes over the wine-making process and the winery's history

• Six wine tastings each from the regular tasting list, such as the winery's namesake grenache, viognier and syrah

• Charcuterie platter, including a variety of cheeses, mustards, olives and crackers

• Bottle of Ambassador's Vineyard Syrah, described as "an impressive" red by the New Times, to be enjoyed on the outdoor picnic tables, in the tasting room or at home
